Adaptation Information
Electric Wheelchair Restraints
With any restraints, you firstly need to consider the type and size of the wheelchair, its position in the car, the type of transit hold or anchor points on the wheelchair and the floor size of the vehicle.
Electric Retractors / Restraints are by far the easiest and fastest system available; it allows drivers to secure a wheelchair in less than 15 seconds whilst reducing the risk of driver injury. Electric restraints are operated via button to engage and release making it extremely easy. They are a popular choice by customers in their vehicle conversion, to have 2 electric restraints at the front of their wheelchair and 2 manual restraints to secure the back.
Manual Wheelchair Restraints
Again, with any restraints you firstly need to consider the type and size of the wheelchair, its position in the car, the type of transit hold or anchor points on the wheelchair and the floor size of the vehicle.
Our manual restraint systems are a 4-point restraint kit for to ensure maximum safety and security for the wheelchair occupant. The manual restraints are mostly all operated via a twist knob on the side of the restraint, you turn this to tighten the restraint. This should be considered when deciding if manual restraint systems are the right fit for your needs.
